I enjoyed O Brother, but precisely because it took an almost Joyceian, lyrical, not-even-pretending approach to its source material. It took key ideas, key themes, fooled around a bit... I don't think it was a great film, but I found it a very interesting experiment. I'm all for adaptation and innovation in this sort of context. I'm just a stickler for the emotional truth, especially when I'm personally invested.
You do know that you can put spaces in the text of your cut tags, right?
Erm, no, actually. When I tried it just gave me the first word only, no more, which is why I went back and put in the underscores. I guess I need to try again. :-)
